MAXaction was formed to develop the MAX as a community asset in East Portland. Areas of focus include improving safety and cleanliness, increasing community involvement, making it more “green”, and promoting business development along the MAX Blue Line.

In June 2010, MAXaction was recognized as a subcommittee of the East Portland Action Plan to act on strategies and actions in the plan related to the MAX and the MAX station areas.

MAXaction is supported by East Portland residents, the East Portland Neighborhood Office, TriMet, Faith Community Church, Glenfair Church, The Glenfair Neighborhood Association, East Portland Graffiti Cleanup, State Representative Jefferson Smith, Portland Office of Youth Gang Violence Prevention, The Rosewood Initiative, the Portland Police Department, the Gresham Police Department, Hazelwood Neighborhood Association, Centennial Community Association, Powelhurst Gilbert Neighborhood Association, and many, many more…
